ABOUT NIGHT BLIND KNIGHTS

Night Blind Knight is a 4 Piece Originals Rock Band heavily influenced by Rock and Grunge bands from the early 90's including Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Nirvana and Kerbdog, as well as elements of other genres including Reggae, Ska, Punk and Blues.Formed in 2011 in Dublin by a group of experienced musicians, we have gigged a lot around Ireland and Belgium and have had numerous radio appearances on Dublin South FM and Near FM. So far we have released an album titled "Hikikomori" and an EP titled "Take Forever". Both of them are available on our YouTube page. After a lineup change in 2023 to infuse new energy in the mix We started to work on recording our follow up release.

BANDMATES

Cormac

I'm Cormac and I play the guitar.
Somewhere along the way I also became the reluctant vocalist for the band. That wasn't the plan but I enjoy it now
I've always written riffs but started writing actual songs because I didn't have the patience to learn songs written by other bands. I am not destined to be in a cover band
My main influences would be rock/grunge/metal from the late 80's to mid 90's but I enjoy music from all genres and time periods and have previously been involved in Ska, Reggae, Blues and Folk bands

Night Blind Knights Freek

Freek

Hailing from the Lands of the Nether is Freek "Frake" Vermeer, known from household classics such as "Girl with the Pearl Drumkit". He provides the beats to which the Night Blind Knights march.

Freek started out as the band's bass player, role swapping to drummer after having left Ireland for a few years and coming back to Dublin.

His drum style is a mix of metal and funk, with drum influences from System of a Down, Queens of the Stone Age and similar artists.

Jon

‘Professor’ Jon Miller is not a professor but does have a penchant for tweed jackets. A precocious Scrabble talent, his early guitar career saw him play iconic venues including Rainham Mark Grammar School and his own bedroom. Later, his Jimi Hendrix covers earned nods of approval at the Isle of Man blues club and his parents-in-law’s biannual Christmas party. After moving to Ireland on a diplomatic mission from the UK, he joined Night Blind Knights in an effort to make friends and research the health benefits of thrash metal.

Night Blind Knights Rocco

Rocco

They call me Rocco (mostly because that's my name), and I lay down the low-end thunder on the bass guitar. Music grabbed me at 16, and I cut my teeth in a few local bands before fate (and a message from Cormac) brought me to Night Blind Knights.

My sonic compass points towards metal and electronic landscapes, but I'm always down to rock out. Rammstein's fire, Franz Ferdinand's dancefloor anthems, and Muse's genre-bending theatrics - that's my jam. When I'm not bringing the bass, you might find me perfecting the art of the (slightly burnt) pizza or attempting (and likely failing) some other culinary masterpiece.
